Joseph Mills

Children of Joseph and Jane Mills, according to Rose Mills Gardner: Maud was a sister, and Emily, and I believe Beatrice and Rose, and he had several brothers, Arthur, Joseph, Ted, George and Fred. I understood there were 13 in the family but Dad (Robert, son of Joseph and Jane Mills) was left and orphan when he was 13 years old and the famly was separated. I believe Aunt Maud is still alive, but I have never heard from her. Anne met Elva a couple of years ago when they were in Vancouver visiting Ray. I believe Aunt Maud and her two children also went to see Ray once.


Emily Mills

Rose Mills

Rose married Charles PEnnhill, the contractor who built the tunnel under the
Bristel Channel and some of the subways in London, helped with tunnel under
Hudson River in New York;


Beatrice Mills

Stayed in England on her husband's estate.


Joseph Mills

Lived in Lethbridge, Canada, had a LDS funeral;


Edwin George Mills Optometrist

Married first to Violet Farnsworth, later married Louisa Jane Phipps Averett; more for putting on the dog than Robert, Called Uncle Ted;


George Wilson Mills

Raised by sister Rose after death of mother, Jane and later lived in NY with
Rose's son Bill


Maude Mills

Christiana Christensen

Third child and Dau of Jacob Christensen, son of Christen Peterson and Maren Pedersdatter. Jacob was born Sep 21 1827 in Naptjert, Elling, Hjorring, Denmark. Dau of Ingaborg Andersen, dau of Christian Andersen and KIren Jensen. Ingaborg was born 28 Apr 1846 in Taarnborg, Soro, Sjaelland, Denmark.
Jacob and Ingaborg married 14 Jan 1864 in the Endowment house in Salt Lake City, Utah Territory. Ingaborg was Jacob's second wife.
Age 52 at death, married to James Naylor, living at 236 West later 158 West 600 South, Salt Lake City. Thomas 23, James 20 and John 18 were James Naylor's sons. Bessie, Harold and Beth were at home when she married James Naylor. After her death, Harold, age 12, went to live with his Uncle Nathaniel in Burlington, Wyoming. Beth was 16 and went to live with her sister Linden.

John Mason Burnside

son of William Burnside and Elizabeth Pinkerston; brother John McCallum was the first to be baptized in 1840, followed by George in 1846; John came to America alone about Feb 1865 and sent for his family after earning money at McKeesport, Pennsylvania; John travelled to Utah with his six children, in the same company with Thomas Campbell.


Elizabeth Prentice

Elizabeth and John joined the church together in 1851. She was left with 9 children in February, 1865 when John set out for America. He sent for her within a few months and she arrived in the summer, 1865


Mary Belle Spens

Bell died Christmas day of complications following an apendectomy.


Percy LeRoy Brown

Percy was baptized by N Mitchel Burnside, his cousin and confirmed by Elder
William L. Shelley on Sep 4, 1923. He was ordained a deacon May 2, 1926 by N.Mason Burnside, a cousin; received his first temple recommend in Mar 1997.
Other occupations in addition to carpenter: Miner, Farmer, Irrigator; died at home.
