Henry Richard Mills

From the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer Scrapbook: Henry Richard Mills was born in Mt. Pleasant August 29, 1863, a son of Henry and Anne Mills. Mercy M. Westwood Mills, a daughter of Richard and Katherine Dallin Westwood, was born in Springville April 8, 1866. They were married September 13, 1883. Shortly after their marriage here they moved to Arizona, and helped in the colonization of Showlow, Apache county, Arizona. They returned to Utah in 1891, and have made their home in Fairview since then. They are the parents of 12 children, of whom the following are living: Richard and George Mills, Mrs. Anthere Swensen and Mrs. Sylvia Romero, Fairview; Frank Mills, Ogden; Lewis Mills, Provo; Mrs. Clar-nda Nelson, Mrs. May Naylor and Mrs. Bernice Nelson, Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Alma Benson, Spring City. They also have 45 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Sept 16, 1933? FAIRVIEW--Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Mills, pioneer residents of this city, were honored at a family dinner and reception Wednesday in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Mills A program and games were enjoyed following dinner, after which a dancing party in the L. D. S. amusement hall for the adult population of the town was given. Mr. and Mrs. Mills have been residents of Fairview more than 40 years. Both have been active in the L. D. S. church and in the civic circles. Mrs. Mills has served many years as Relief society teacher and Mr. Mills was city marshal several years. Mrs. Mills
